But, Sirs, be resolute: we shall have wars

On every side; and, Ned, thou must begin

Now to forget thy study and thy books,

And ure thy shoulders to an Armor’s weight.

– Edward III, 1.1

Edward III’s uncertain place in the canon means there are fewer performances to choose from.

However, for those of you who prefer to watch rather than read (or who enjoy supplementing your reading), here is an interesting online performance, which, though performed through the frustrating medium of Zoom, still manages to convey the play in an entertaining way. They even manage to incorporate props and setting of a sort!

The video also has a nice introduction and Q&A at the end, which is delightful.

Let me know what you think of it, and share any good performances you have found!
