O, break! O, break!
We’ve made it through the first set of history plays and explored the wild world of battles and heroic kings, and now, it’s time to take a week to breathe!
I have thoroughly enjoyed our Shakespeare Read-Through 2026 so far! It’s been fantastic to get deep into the character relationships and hear all of your great comments and share time with my son!
This week of the calendar was set aside to allow us to catch up, to watch a few of the performances that we’ve begun adding to our queue and haven’t had time for, or to reflect on where we’re going next!
I have a few things I’ve been thinking about on the value of reading Shakespeare in our times, so I’ll try to take this week to compose them for you and share them. I’ll also try to watch The Hollow Crown and maybe some Laurence Olivier versions! What are you going to do this week?
